BrowSculpt is brow lamination with a bespoke HD Brows twist. Whether you dream of achieving that full, fluffy eyebrow look, want to create symmetry in uneven brows or tame unruly hairs, our BrowSculpt brow lamination treatment is for you.
Brow Sculpt is a 2 step eyebrow perming process in which we are able to help correct and set our clients brow shape with results that can last up to 6 weeks. The first step is applying a cream to the brow that breaks down the bonds in the hairs so that they can then be manipulated into a new more uniform position.
Brow lamination is basically a perm for your brows, as it gives them a set, uniform shape for an extended period of time. Instead of curls, a setting lotion helps brow hair stay brushed up and lifted upward for about six weeks.
How long do HD Brows last? The effects of the treatment usually last around 4-6 weeks, however this can vary depending on your hair growth. After your first few treatments your stylist will be able to recommend how often you should be having the treatment done.
Traditional lamination is a trend in which brows are brushed completely upwards, and the brow hair looks much fluffier and fuller. We undertook lamination training with HD Brows, who have created their own spin on traditional brow lamination, and named the treatment “Brow Sculpt”.
THE BENEFITS OF HD BROWS
The treatment helps achieve the right shape, colour and style for your face. Darker and more arched brows will help to frame your face.
HD tint all your hairs, even the little white ones you can't see, and make a new shape out of them. It's hard to explain but they're much better than a normal tint and wax. Although once you've got the perfect shape from HD there's nothing to stop you topping up with a normal tint and wax.
'They hurt in the sense that there is waxing, threading and plucking involved so it really comes down to the individual person and their pain threshold. You'll probably experience some discomfort or stingy although it is by no means unbearable and it is only brief. '
It is perfectly fine to get your brows wet after your HD Brows treatment. However, for 48 hours after your treatment, heat and moisture may cause slight irritation to your skin, so we recommend against the use of saunas, steam rooms, etc. Showers are fine but maybe delay that long soak in the bath.
HD Brows needs to be maintained every 4-6 weeks, whereas microblading lasts a lot longer, with 6-monthly top-ups highly recommended by most technicians.
Just as perming the hair on your head can lead to dryness and damage, brow lamination could potentially damage your eyebrows in the same way. Your chances are greater if you repeat the process too often, or sooner than 6 weeks. Another more serious risk is eye damage.
Can I wear makeup after brow lamination? Your stylist will apply some make up to complete your BrowSculpt treatment. After that, we recommend that you avoid applying any heavy make up around the brow (such as foundation or concealer) for 24 hours after.
How long does eyebrow lamination last, and how much does it cost? Your new brows will last about eight solid weeks after treatment, which can run you anywhere from $80 to $140 depending on where you go.
Firstly, brows are cleansed and brushed out. Your brow technician will then wax or pluck any stray hairs to tidy up the shape. 2. Next, a chemical solution is applied which relaxes the bonds in hair and straightens them out.
Does brow lamination work on thin brows? "Yes!," says a spokesperson for beauty service Blow Ltd, "eyebrow Lamination can work well on sparse brows as the hair can be directed to cover gaps in brows and make existing hairs appear fuller.
A brow lamination should last a good 4 weeks. It depends on the maintenance care your client is taking, but ideally they should come back every 4 to 6 weeks.
Q: What's the difference between normal brow tinting and HD brows? A: With a brow tint the actual dye is left on the skin only for a few minutes, with HD brows the tint is left on for at least 10 to 15 minutes and the procedures involved are different.
Try using a gentle shampoo or cleanser on the brows (avoiding the eyes) to soften the colour. If the pigment is on the skin, you could try using an oil or silicone based make up remover to help fade this.
Unlike a standard tint and shape, a HD brow treatment starts with a custom blended colour tint then uses a mixture of waxing for precision shaping, threading for the areas the wax may have missed and plucking for any final stray hairs. It's this combination of techniques that leaves your brows incredibly well defined.
Before starting a new treatment that includes applying chemicals and dyes to the eye area, you need to carry out a patch test. A skin patch test is used to detect possible allergies to any substances used during your brow or lash treatment when it comes into contact with your skin.
From sparse, over-plucked and even shaved (yes really, this does happen) to overgrown and shapeless. But the one thing that is constant is the difference the HD Brows treatment can make, sometimes in just one 45-minute appointment.
Microblading ranges in cost from around 350 dollars to as high as 800 dollars. The average microblading cost is around $400. If you don't know what microblading is, it's the practice of placing pigment with tiny strokes of a “microblade” in a semi-permanent fashion over your existing eyebrows.
Microblading is a form of a cosmetic semi-permanent makeup performed using, a manual (not a machine) disposable handheld tool, composed with very fine needles resembling the shape of a blade (we call it a microblade), to hand draw each individual hair and simultaneously implant the pigment into the skin.
