Microblading pigments are made of colorants and carriers. The colorants are the ones that provide the color of the pigments. And the carriers, which are usually inactive ingredients, are transporting agents that help the color apply onto the skin. Carriers can be glycerin, alcohol, witch hazel, etc.
Microblading is a form of a cosmetic semi-permanent makeup performed using, a manual (not a machine) disposable handheld tool, composed with very fine needles resembling the shape of a blade (we call it a microblade), to hand draw each individual hair and simultaneously implant the pigment into the skin.
Do the pigments contain PPD? Our pigments do not contain PPD. PPD is part of the oxidizing process in hair dye and henna.
Nanoblading comes with a number of potential brow benefits: Lasts longer than microblading (about one to three years)
Use Aftercare as an after care anti-oxidant (or Vaseline). Gently apply every 1-2 hours or when you feel tender, itchy or dry for 10–14 days. This provides pain relief, moisturizes and promotes healing to help retain color. Avoid soaps/facial cleansers on pigmented areas (wash around them), pat dry with a clean towel.
Things to Avoid:
Applying any makeup, moisturizer, lotion, or sunscreen to your eyebrows. Laser or chemical peels, and any other form of exfoliation. Applying any creams to your face or neck containing retinol or glycolic acid.
Microblading, like any other cosmetic procedure, involves various tools and liquids coming into contact with the skin, including numbing agents, pigments for permanent makeup, the blades themselves, and various aftercare items. Any one of them could result in an allergic reaction.
However, there are risks, including infection, allergic reactions, scarring, and unsatisfactory results. Proper aftercare and choosing an experienced technician are crucial. While microblading is a convenient option, it requires ongoing maintenance and could be better for some.
Five years after microblading, clients often observe certain transformations in their brows, influenced by factors such as type of ink pigments used, skin type and care regimen. After five years, some microblading may show moderate fading on some people, leaving a shadow or remnants of ink pigment.
An eyebrow transplant is the most natural looking eyebrow treatment because it uses your own hairs. Using the FUE technique (which is used for modern hair transplants), hair from the back of your head is transplanted to your eyebrows.
It is very possible for it to be PERMANENT. The most important bottom line is that it looks awful after 1-2 years on almost everyone and it is not easily fixable. Even though the obvious thing to do is just cover the old microblading with a powder brow, this is not done so easily.
After microblading, your eyebrows will lighten by about 20-40%, which is why the initial pigment may appear darker than you expected. Don't worry, though; this is completely normal, and the color will fade over the next week.
Anyone with transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis. Anyone with uncontrolled high blood pressure or mitral valve disorder. Anyone who has active skin cancer in the area to be microbladed. Anyone that has easily triggered post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
The initial procedure will take around 2 hours, and your second appointment takes from 30 minutes to an hour. DO I NEED A PATCH TEST BEFORE MICROBLADING or SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP? Our pigments contain no PPD (which is what causes common skin reactions if you have ever had a reaction to hair dye or tint).
If you have an MRI or CAT scan within 3 months of your Microblading procedure; you should notify and discuss with your physician possible side effects. Though it is possible scarring may occur, it is rare.
These pigments contain metals or compounds such as titanium dioxide or iron oxide. Manufacturers usually mix them in to reduce costs. But it's a big health risk for consumers. There could be adverse reactions or harmful long-term effects to those who get their microblading done with these dubious pigments.
Around days eight or nine of the healing process, your brows may take on a spooky appearance, appearing faded, gray, or even patchy. This is known as the microblading ghosting phase. The fading is a regular and temporary part of the healing process. Your bold, beautiful brows will make their triumphant return.
No exfoliating or harsh cleansers on your brows for 4 weeks. Apply a thin layer of grapeseed or coconut oil to your brows ONLY AS NEEDED, do not make a daily regimen. Only use a small amount, over saturating the brows can blur your strokes and effect your results.
While it's tempting to splash your face with water, especially if you're used to regular cleansing, you should avoid washing your brows immediately after microblading. Most professionals recommend waiting 2-10 days before properly washing your face, depending on your skin's healing process.
Aquaphor Healing Ointment
Alternatively, you can use a different healing ointment like Aquaphor. It's important to make sure there are no added antibiotics or harsh ingredients that can break down pigment in your brows.
