Try a spot treatment or pimple patch
You've probably seen these emergency pimple treatments at the drugstore — usually an extra-strong solution of salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or benzoyl peroxide. And yep, they can actually get rid of pimples overnight.

“When you have a week to go and you realise you've got a sudden breakout, you can start using a salicylic acid-based face wash and a benzoyl peroxide-based cream at night," says Dr Bijlani. Incorporating an AHA- and BHA-based toner can also help reduce the excess oil on the surface of your skin.

Don't shower in water that's too hot.
Cold water tightens your pores and reduces the overproduction of sebum and excretion of acne-causing bacteria. In contrast, hot water opens them and does the complete opposite, leaving your skin more prone to irritation.
Cold water will initially help constrict blood vessels in your skin to temporarily tighten pores and decrease redness and puffiness, she adds. What's more, cold temperatures boost circulation (it's your body's way of keeping warm). For your face, that might mean a healthy glow.
Salt water is a powerful acne medication that works by cleansing the cells and reducing the bacteria – while keep the skin pH levels intake. Salt water straight from the ocean is one of the best ways to take advantage of this because its natural and rich in minerals.
Clean your skin gently with a mild, non-drying soap. It may help to use a wash with salicylic acid or benzoyl if your skin is oily and prone to acne. Remove all dirt or make up. Wash once or twice a day, and also after exercising.
