You can use a normal shampoo on colored hair. If you are concerned about fading you want to make sure any shampoo you use is sulfate free. Other than that there's no reason why you can't use any other shampoo on the market. PH is are important so look for a shampoo that has a pH level between 5.4 and 5.8.
If you don't use a color-safe shampoo, your hair color could fade. Opt for shampoos labeled as color-safe, sulfate-free, or made for color-treated hair to help prolong the life of your hair color.
You shampoo immediately after dying to remove the dye and any active chemicals, but the initial shampooing should remove only exterior dye and will leave pigments within the actual strands of hair. You then want to leave those pigments to ``set'' within your hair strands.
No Damage: There's typically no damage from using such products on untreated hair, but it might not be the best choice for your hair type.

The best thing to do is to avoid shampooing directly after dyeing your hair. Instead, rinse with cold or lukewarm water to avoid washing the colour away.
Condition your hair right after dyeing.
Usually, a packet of conditioner comes with the dye product. If there's not, use your usual conditioner, leave it in for at least three minutes, then rinse with cool water. If you had your dye job done professionally, consider booking a conditioning treatment afterward.
