Blonde is Crowned the Sexiest Hair Colour of 2021!
When asked which hair colour they think is sexiest, almost a third of people said they have no preference. However, of those who did have a colour preference: Most say that blonde hair is the sexiest (31.5%)
In concurrence with both earlier studies, the results of this study indicated red hair as the least preferred hair color. In the Likert scale positive characteristic evaluation, as well as in the survey questions, brunettes were given the highest ratings of all three categories.
Essentially, anything that isn't blonde, brown, black, or gray is a no-go.
A general observation across experiments was that straight hair was perceived as younger, healthier, and more attractive than wavy hair and darker shades (medium copper and brown) were perceived more positively than blonde hair.

Red hair and green eye genes are simply not as common in populations as other hair and eye colors. One study found that the red hair-green eyes genetic combination is one of the rarest, at -0.14 correlation. Having red hair and blue eyes is even rarer.
The United States has predominantly black and brown hair in the population, with 85 percent for black hair and 11 percent for brown hair. Authentic blonde hair makes up only two percent of the population, and authentic red hair, the rarest hair color of all, makes up only one percent of the American population.

It turns out that brown hair is dominant. That means that even if only one of your two alleles is for brown hair, your hair will be brown. The blond allele is recessive, and gets covered up.

After examining the length of hair in models, male participants expressed a preference for models with longer hair and higher levels of attractiveness. Based on this, one can conclude that men find long hair attractive because it shows how fertile a woman is.
