Your lips may be swollen, sensitive and bruised. Swelling usually goes away after 24 to 48 hours, but it may take up to a week. Your healthcare provider will also schedule a follow-up appointment about two weeks after the procedure to monitor your lips.

You are not allowed to smile for a few days after a lip filler. Facial expressions such as smiling, laughing, or frowning should have zero impact on your lip filler. When will it achieve the final look? You'll see immediate results with lip fillers, but once the swelling goes down, the results will not look quite as pronounced. If your lip fillers have migrated, it will almost always be noticeable visually. This can be presented in many ways; from a puffy upper lip, a lack of a defined border between the lip edge and above and/or below the lip border.

The Next Few Days After Your Lip Filler Appointment
It's common to experience a little swelling around the injection site and edges of your lips. To help minimize excessive swelling and reduce any discomfort, it's fine to apply ice immediately after your appointment and in the days following, as needed.
Using ice, arnica tablets and avoiding hot baths, saunas and steam rooms as well as excessive exercise can minimise bruising, swelling and soreness after the procedure, for at least 24 hours.
Can I brush my teeth after lip fillers? It's okay to brush your teeth after fillers but you may experience some tenderness. Make sure to be very gentle when brushing your teeth and washing your face after fillers.

There is no medical reason why you cannot apply makeup including lip gloss or lipstick directly after lip fillers. A treatment can leave the lips feeling slightly tender, so it is recommended that you leave it a day before applying makeup to the treatment area.
How much lip filler do I need? The vast majority of first-timers will need 1ml and there are very few exceptions to this.
The good news is that the swelling in your photos appears to be a normal side effect of lip fillers and should gradually diminish on its own over the next two weeks.
