Complementary colors are pairs of colors which, when combined or mixed, cancel each other out (lose chroma) by producing a grayscale color like white or black. When placed next to each other, they create the strongest contrast for those two colors. Complementary colors may also be called "opposite colors".
For example, as you can see in the image above, blue is opposite orange, green is opposite red, and yellow from violet. So when we see two colors across from each other, we know that they work together, or complement. In addition, they can cancel out each others intensity.
When a color is too bright and needs to be toned down, or you want to create a shadow, mix a small amount of the color opposite on the color wheel to “neutralize” the color. For example, add a small amount of ultramarine blue to cadmium orange to take a little of the fire out of the orange.
It is also considered color-blocking even if the colors are not direct opposites on the color wheel. For example, yellow and orange are right next to each other, but adding purple (a color on the opposite of the wheel) creates a color-blocked outfit.
Contrasting colors are those that lie directly opposite each other on the wheel—like red and green, orange and blue, or yellow and purple. When contrasting colors are placed next to one another, each appears brighter and more intense. When they are blended, they neutralize each other.
Some classic examples of color combinations that don't go well together include: Yellow and green. Brown and orange. Red and green.
If we look at red, the color opposing it is green. When red and green are combined, they neutralize each other (i.e. cancel each other out). So, whichever color you are looking to conceal/neutralize, find the corresponding color on the color wheel.
Neutralization agent, useful for neutralizing the odor of a gas odorant, comprises an emulsifier, base, perfume, sodium hypochlorite and water.

Unlike electric charge, color charge is never observed in nature: in all cases, red, green, and blue (or anti-red, anti-green, and anti-blue) or any color and its anti-color combine to form a "color-neutral" system.
There are products to neutralize base chemicals (like citric acid) or acidic chemicals (like sodium sesquicarbonate). Neutralizers are available as simple or complex solutions, meaning you can always find the right solution.
The most commonly used neutralization chemicals for acid or base neutralization are 98% Sulfuric acid and 50% Sodium hydroxide. In many cases these are very good choices, however, there are many considerations when selecting chemicals and these may not always be the best selection.
Farmers use neutralising agents such as lime (calcium carbonate) to balance acidic soils, making essential nutrients like potassium and nitrogen more accessible to plants. Similarly, in cases where soil is too alkaline, substances such as sulphur or ammonium-based compounds can be applied to restore balance.
Use a yellow color corrector if you have any purple discoloration, such as dark spots or violet-toned dark circles. Yellow can help counteract the purple tint, leaving you with a more even-looking skin tone.
