Actinic Keratoses (AKs) are rough, scaly, red or brown colored patches on the skin caused by excessive exposure to the sun. Common in individuals with light skin tones and red or blonde hair, AK's are concerning as they may further develop into skin cancer (carcinoma).

We can observe on the paper that the sunlight is split into a spectrum of colours like a rainbow, every colour in VIBGYOR pattern i.e., violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red can be seen. The conclusion drawn here is that sunlight is nothing but a mixture of seven colours.
Sun Spots: Sun spots are generally smooth to the touch and don't cause any discomfort. Skin Cancer: Skin cancer lesions may be raised, scaly, or develop ulcers. They can sometimes itch, bleed, or become painful.
Avoid wearing dark colors like black, which absorbs more light and heat wherein white color reflects light which results in less absorption of heat.
Dark or bright colors
Darker colors, such as blue or black, absorb more UV rays than lighter shades like whites and pastels. This means the UV rays are less likely to reach your skin. But bright colors, like red, can also absorb UV rays.
Black and dark colors absorb more UV rays than other colors, which will ensure they don't hit your skin as much. Essentially, the darker the color, the more sun protection it will offer. Besides black, other dark colors that can provide a level of sun protection include navy, maroon, and dark gray.
It tends to lie flat against the skin of the head and neck, but appears as a bump on arms and hands. The base of an actinic keratosis may be light or dark, tan, pink, red, or a combination of these. Or it may be the same color as the skin.

Can sun damage be reversed? Once UV radiation changes your skin cells' DNA, the DNA damage can't be reversed. However, this doesn't mean that you can't change the appearance of your skin. You can treat, reduce and/or repair the effects of sun-damaged skin.

Sunburn symptoms often appear within a few hours after sun exposure. Within a few days, the body may start to heal itself by peeling the damaged skin's top layer. A bad sunburn may take several days to heal. Any lingering changes in skin color usually go away with time.
Seborrheic keratoses are usually brown, black or light tan. The growths (lesions) look waxy or scaly and slightly raised. They appear gradually, usually on the face, neck, chest or back.
Medicines. If you have several actinic keratoses, your health care provider might prescribe a medicated cream or gel to remove them, such as fluorouracil (Carac, Efudex others), imiquimod (Aldara, Zyclara) or diclofenac. Bowen's disease is a very early form of skin cancer. The cancer is on the top layer of your skin. It has not spread to the layers under the skin. Bowen's disease is also called 'squamous cell carcinoma in situ'. Squamous cells are the flat cells that make up the top of the skin.
Of all colors tested, dark blue offered the best levels of UV protection, making it the best color to wear in the sun. Contrary to the popular belief that they are the coolest colors in the sun, white and yellow were the worst performing colors in terms of UV protection.
To help protect your skin from the sun, dermatologists recommend wearing the following items: Lightweight and long-sleeved shirts and pants. It's important to cover up as much of your skin as possible when spending time outdoors. When selecting clothing, avoid fabrics with a loose or open weave, such as lace.
Dark colors, on the other hand, soak up more sunlight and get warmer. This is why wearing a black shirt on a sunny day can make you feel much hotter than wearing a white one. Light colors also help protect your skin.
