Moisturize Microbladed Area. Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay the healing process. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin.
The absolute best results come from keeping your brows extremely DRY for the next 10 days!
Aquaphor Is Your Best Friend
-Use a cotton swab to apply Aquaphor Ointment throughout the day for 2-4 weeks (the area should never be dry). -For the first 4 hours after the procedure, pat the procedure area with a paper towel every 30 minutes to remove excess blood/fluid.
Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 7 days after your procedure. Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area. During the shower, keep your face away from the shower head or take a bath.
Around days eight or nine of the healing process, your brows may take on a spooky appearance, appearing faded, gray, or even patchy. This is known as the microblading ghosting phase. The fading is a regular and temporary part of the healing process. Your bold, beautiful brows will make their triumphant return.
These oils can heal the brow as well as getting the best results in retaining pigment color in the skin. Important note: Avoid Petroleum Jelly or Vaseline during your healing period.
The worst days after microblading are typically the first two, when you'll likely experience puffiness, redness, and tenderness.
In the morning, remove saran wrap, wash eyebrows, apply ointment again for the remainder of the 24 hours. Doing this will prevent scabbing. Step 3: After the first 24 hours you can wash the treated area only twice a day and apply a very thin layer of ointment after each wash.
Please continue to apply the ointment for 7 days. The following should be avoided for 14 days after your microblading procedure: Increased sweating, practicing sports, swimming, hot saunas, hot baths, or jacuzzis, sun tanning, or salon tanning; UV/UVA rays have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading.
Speaking of getting wet, another best Microblading Aftercare you should follow is not to sweat too much. Do not exercise or engage in extreme activities because our salty sweat will eliminate the pigment. Avoid being exposed to the sun because the dye on your brows will fade immediately due to the UV Rays.
If you accidentally ruin your microblading, it's best to reach out to your microblading artist or a professional immediately for advice on how to address the issue.
Botched eyebrow microblading can result in uneven shapes, unnatural colors, or overly thick brows. A professional consultation is the first step to assessing and fixing bad eyebrow microblading. Corrections can include reshaping, color adjustment, or a touch-up to improve brow appearance.
For about 2 to 10 days following your microblading service, make sure to wash your eyebrows gently (patting motion, not rubbing) each morning and night with water and an antibacterial soap such as Dial or a Cetaphil Cleanser. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows.
It's important not to overdo it, as an excessive amount of ointment can hinder the skin's ability to breathe and delay the healing process. Avoid the temptation to pick, peel, or scratch the treated area. Interfering with the healing skin could result in pigment loss or even scarring.
Wash the microbladed area twice per day followed by applying the microblading aftercare ointment. At the start and end of each day, use your clean fingertips and a mild antibacterial soap, like Cetaphil, to gently cleanse your eyebrows for 10-15 seconds.
