LESS PAIN & BLEEDING: Ombré powder brows are less painful due to the airbrush-like technique we apply, which creates less trauma to the skin vs. the blading technique of microblading. The latter also creates cuts into the skin, thus more bleeding is involved.
What are the Main Benefits of Ombre Powder Brows? Ombre powder brows are great for any skin type, unlike microblading, which may not work well on oily skinned beauties. Your eyebrow will look fuller, more defined as well as dramatic. Ombre brows last longer than microbladed brows, usually up to 5 years.
Healing and Aftercare
For both the powdered ombré and combination brows, healing takes 2-3 weeks. For the first 3 days your brows will be very dark, and then they will start to scab. Unlike microblading that scabs in patches, powder brows scab in one big (or a few big) pieces.
The appointment can take about two to three hours. "Typically your professional will put on a topical anesthetic that they let sit for 20-40 minutes before shading.
Ombre Powder Brows is a form of tattooing, but it is different from the traditional method. It is a more modern method because it is surface work meaning it is on the epidermis layer of the skin.
The procedure may have some peeling on or around the 3rd day. This is a NORMAL process of healing for some clients. DO NOT PICK or SCRATCH... picking/ scratching can cause scarring and loss of pigment. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off.
The front of the brow starts lighter, and as you move to the arch and tail, they get darker. The effects are semi-permanent but last longer than microblading.
While Powder/Microshading/Ombré brows are all considered permanent makeup; they will fade, significantly, around 3 years. Depending on skin quality, type of skin, products used, sun exposure and any oral medication taken, the tattoo will fade over time.
Ideally, you should avoid wearing makeup and follow the other aftercare instructions provided to you by your microblading technician for at least 14 days after your procedure.
Garrett says that ombré tends to last for about four to five months. You can help to keep your color looking fresh by not overwashing the hair and using sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners. If your hair is blonde, you can also use a purple shampoo, which helps to neutralize brassy and yellow tones.
Salt removal is one of the most popular methods for removing permanent eyebrows. There are two methods for using salt to remove permanent makeup: Applying salt topically to the epidermis and removing with gentle exfoliation. Using salt to bind to permanent ink pigments (thus, drawing them out of the skin).
When Can I Wash My Face After Ombre Brows? It is indicated to wait more or less 48 hours before washing your face and even then, you should be super careful. During the entire healing process, it is better not to wash your face directly, just cleanse it carefully.
The skin needs to be opened so that the pigment is deposited underneath, thus making a fresh wound. Every wound takes some time to heal, so pigment disappearing is a normal part of the healing process.
What is Ombre Powder Brows Scabbing and Is It Normal? Powder brow scabbing is a usual part of the healing process. However, not every scabbing is normal. Flaking and peeling are completely common, but heavy scabbing is problematic as it can take all the pigment out.
-Avoid Alcohol, Soft drinks, Coffee, Tea, Chocolate or any Caffeinated drinks or foods 48 hours after procedure.
Although the procedure can take upward of 2 hours, most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of a numbing cream. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance to pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected.
Some clients have reported feeling no pain at all, only feeling a slight pressure on the area. Other clients say the sensation is similar to that of tweezing the brow area. Once the numbing gel wears off, the area may be sore or tender.
Do not use petroleum jelly (like Vaseline) as this causes the brow to sweat underneath. Do not use anti-bacterial ointments because they will remove pigment from your brows. Keep your fringe away from your eyebrows for the first 3 days as this is the easiest way to cause infection.
Don't freak out and think that your powder brows disappeared! They look too light because your skin forms new layers over the pigment, which are lighter than the rest of your skin.

Although Microblading or Gradient Eyebrow Tattoo is considered to be semi-permanent, the procedure does allow flexibility for color or shape change to some extent.
To maintain the effects of this cosmetic treatment, we will ask you to temporarily stop plucking or threading your eyebrows. In general, we will recommend avoiding these activities for a few days after your appointment is complete.
