Plucking your pubic hair can be painful and takes a long time. Plucking can cause redness, swelling, itching, irritation, and damage to the skin. It can also result in ingrown hairs (where the hair curls backward or sideways under the skin) and infection.
Use a warm, wet washcloth to massage the area once daily until irritation improves. Don't use tweezers to pull them out, as this can increase your infection risk.
Although tweezing may seem like your best bet, we think there are better options out there. For starters, a study found that plucking multiple hairs together may actually promote hair growth in the area where you are trying to remove it!

The biggest con with plucking is that it is time consuming since you are picking hair one by one. Thus, out of shaving and plucking facial hair, shaving is better. But even shaving is not recommended because skin on your face is extremely delicate and soft.
Removing hair by shaving, waxing or tweezing can cause ingrown hairs. New hairs grow from hair follicles under your skin. Shaving, waxing and tweezing only remove hair strands — they don't remove hair follicles. When new hair grows, it may curl back and enter your skin.
However, repeated ripping of the hair from its follicle via waxing or plucking (which is essentially the same thing, when you think about it) will make hair grow back thicker, darker and coarser… and frequently, more plentiful and faster to re-grow.
Then there's the fact that waxing and threading last longer than plucking. With plucking you are likely to need your tweezers again after just 2 weeks. Why does threading and waxing last longer than plucking? It's because they remove the root along with the hair.
The white bulb at the end of your hair is essentially a bundle of protein, known as keratin.
Pulling out hair by your root may damage your follicle temporarily, but a new bulb will eventually form, and new hair will grow again through that follicle. According to the TLC Foundation for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors, it may take a few months or more than a year in some cases.

Simply soak the areas in warm water for a few minutes before shaving. Exfoliating helps to get smoother results and reduce the chances of skin irritation or ingrown hairs. Use a loofah or a scrub in a circular motion to gently exfoliate the areas you wish to shave.
Trichotillomania, also known as trich, is when someone cannot resist the urge to pull out their hair. They may pull out the hair on their head or in other places, such as their eyebrows or eyelashes. Trich is more common in teenagers and young adults.
Dr. Kraleti explains that your hair turns gray or white when the pigment cells in the follicle surrounding the hair die. “When you pluck a hair a new one will grow in its place and because the pigment cells are no longer producing pigment, this new hair will also be white.”
When you pull out your hair "by the root," you may observe a transparent swelling called the "bulb." The area above the bulb usually seen on a plucked hair is the root sheath, the growing area of a hair. The size of the hair bulb on a plucked hair varies with the phase of growth the hair was in.
"Plucking can traumatize the hair follicle, and you can damage it to the point where it will no longer grow any hair," says Gillen.
Plucking hairs in a precise pattern can make even more pop up in their place, a US study suggests. Playing with the density of hair removed altered how serious an injury the body recognised and in turn how much hair regrew.
The researchers found plucking was able to stimulate hairs to grow back, sometimes more than were there originally, but only after a certain threshold. Below this threshold, not enough signals were produced to kick-start the hair regeneration systems.
*Slower means a likelier more painful process. *Waxing can eliminate even those fine, baby hairs to create a smooth finish. Tweezing can grab a hold of thicker hairs but isn't always as successful as getting those delicate ones. *Results from tweezing don't tend to last as long as waxing.
