No Pressure On Your Brows By sleeping on your back, you eliminate the risk of pressing your face into the pillow. This prevents scabs from being removed prematurely and ensures that the pigment remains undisturbed.
Weeks 2-4: The brows will return to their normal colour, with a softer and more natural appearance. Week 5 onwards: The final touch-up session should be scheduled if necessary. One to two months: The complete healing process, with the tattooed area settling into its final appearance.
Best results will result from making sure to stay on your back when sleeping for the whole healing period of a week. Doing this will ensure that the microbladed brows are kept moist through the night and promote the best heal.
To speed up the healing process, follow a proper aftercare routine, including gentle cleansing, applying recommended ointments, avoiding direct water and sun exposure, and not picking at scabs or scratching the area.
Avoid touching the area with your fingers to prevent infection. The same applies to children's hands and pets. Change your pillowcase for a bacteria-free environment and try sleeping on your back for the first night. On day 2 give the brows a gentle wash with mild cleaners and pat them dry immediately.
Professional procedures such as microdermabrasion and facials with cleansers can help exfoliate the upper layers of the skin and help the body naturally get rid of the pigment. You may need several sessions of microdermabrasion but you should notice a definite “lightening” after each and every session.
- Picking, Peeling, Scratching, or Hitting/Slapping your eyebrows. This will cause you to lose pigment, can cause scaring or hyperpigmentation, etc. Slapping or Hitting your eyebrows can cause the lines in your eyebrows to bleed into other parts of your skin.
Keep the area MOISTURIZED. Use Aftercare as an after care anti-oxidant (or Vaseline). Gently apply every 1-2 hours or when you feel tender, itchy or dry for 10–14 days. This provides pain relief, moisturizes and promotes healing to help retain color.
Use your fingertips to cleanse the area gently. After washing, apply a small amount of aftercare ointment using a cotton swab. Avoid over-application. During showers, limit face exposure to water for 5-8 minutes and avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the brows.
Microblading is a manual techniques of using a handheld tool with a row of needle to slice into the skin. Nano Brows uses a digital machine with a single oscillating needle which makes micro punctures in the skin rather than making a cutting action.
Cosmetic Tattoo - Eyebrow Aftercare
Your eyebrows must not get wet for at least 10 to 15 days post-tattooing. This includes sweat, rain and keeping them out of the water in the shower. No make-up or lotions other than the provided aftercare cream should be applied anywhere near the eyebrow area.
After the initial healing period, usually around 7-10 days, you can resume your regular showering habits. By this time, the scabs will have fallen off, and your eyebrows will be on their way to a full recovery.
Can I sleep on my face after microblading? Don't sleep on your stomach, and don't even sleep on your side. Sleeping with your face smooshed might mess up the healing process after you get your microblading done. Use an airline neck pillow to force yourself to sleep on your back.
Aquaphor Healing Ointment
Alternatively, you can use a different healing ointment like Aquaphor. It's important to make sure there are no added antibiotics or harsh ingredients that can break down pigment in your brows.
Aquaphor Is Your Best Friend
-We suggest Aquaphor because it tends to not cause inflammation, but if you are allergic, Vaseline will do just fine. -Always use a “total sun block” sunscreen until the area has fully healed to prevent future fading of pigment color.
Sweat. For the same reason that water should be avoided during the healing/scabbing process after microblading, sweat should also be avoided. Sweat comes from the inside of the skin and can push the pigment out and cause the microblading strokes not to retain.
Week 2: Around day 7-10, your eyebrows will naturally exfoliate, revealing a lighter color beneath. Please, avoid picking or scratching the area. Week 3-4: You might notice a fading, or “ghosting,” of the pigment. Don't worry; this is a standard part of the healing process.
DAY 1: (day of treatment) Apply Vaseline 2-4 times. Use a cotton swab or cotton pad for this and not your fingertips to avoid the spread of bacteria. Day 2 & 3: When you wake up, gently wipe the area with distilled water on a clean cotton pad. Be careful not to rub the brows hard.
Tips for faster eyebrow tattoo healing. Use the aftercare products recommended by your artist to keep the skin hydrated and prevent infections. Clean the eyebrow area twice a day with a gentle cleanser and water to prevent infections and remove any excess ink or scabs.
You can take several steps if you're unhappy with your microblading results. First, consult your artist for potential corrections or touch-ups. If you're still dissatisfied, seek a second opinion or consider removal options like saline or laser treatments.
