Based on your individual goals and dreams for your skin, our experienced team will let you know exactly how much Botox or filler you'll be purchasing. There are 100 units of Botox per vial and 300 units of Dysport per vial. There is 1.0 cc of Juvederm® per syringe, and 0.8 cc of Restylane® per syringe.
Most filler syringes contain 1.0 ml (milliliters or cc) of product. This includes products such as Restylane and Juvéderm–which also includes Voluma, Vollure, Ultra, and Volbella. Some fillers do come in larger (e.g., Radiesse-1.5 ml) or smaller sizes but let's discuss the vastly more commonly used 1.0 ml syringes.
Answer: One syringe of Restylane
Restylane comes from the distributer in 0.5. 1 and 2 cc(or ml) syringes.
Usually, one syringe (one milliliter) of Restylane will provide very nice augmentation of the upper and lower lips. It may take one to two syringes to fill the nasolabial folds, and one syringe to fill both mild tear troughs, two syringes to fill both deep tear troughs.
How much is in one syringe of filler? Most fillers come in a syringe with 1mL of product. That is approximately 1/5th of a teaspoon. A small amount of product can go a long way, but many times optimal results require more than one syringe to obtain.
The majority of dermal fillers are made from Hyaluronic Acid and contain 1cc per syringe. Keep in mind that this means that there is only 1/5 of a teaspoon of filler in that 1cc syringe! This means that it takes FIVE full syringes to make a up a single teaspoon of filler.
How much filler is in a syringe? Most syringes contain 1ml of filler, or about 1/5 of a teaspoon. Occasionally you'll see “half syringes” advertised, at just 0.5ml, it's very hard to create a noticeable impact with that small amount of filler.
You will see the final results of your treatment about four to six weeks after your treatment, which is about the time it takes for your body to kickstart collagen production to restore facial volume. This is also because it takes about two weeks for this dermal filler to settle into the hollows of your skin.
JUVÉDERM results can last between 1 – 2 years. Restylane is used to treat the same areas of the face as JUVÉDERM. However, it tends to work well to fill in folds or lines around the nose and cheeks, and the eyes. Restylane fillers typically last 6 – 18 months, depending on the target area.
Restylane® may last anywhere from six to eighteen months, depending on the formula and the area of the face. Fillers in more mobile areas like the lips have a thin, flexible texture and do not last as long as more dense fillers such as cheek and wrinkle fillers.
One syringe of Restylane is 1ml and costs $600; one syringe of Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft is 1ml and costs $650. For patients who need only a small amount of Restylane (i.e., to fill a scar or other very small area), a . 5ml syringe is available for $300.
Answer: Restylane for Lip Augmentation
Typically 1 syringe is all that is needed to achieve a patient's desired look. If you are looking for a larger look than you may require 2 syringes. I do not like to inject more than 1 syringe at time as to not over inject.
In the vast majority of cases, multiple syringes of filler will be needed to optimally enhance a person's face. Areas like the lips may only require 1ml of dermal filler to achieve the desired outcome. Other areas, like the cheek, may require anywhere from 1-4 syringes for a noticeable enhancement.
Regardless of which dermal filler you use, two or three syringes are almost always recommended in order to achieve the most gorgeous outcomes. The number of needed syringes should not be a determining factor when considering dermal fillers since they are similar across brands and filler types.
For example, because Juvederm contains more hyaluronic acid, it's a little pricier than Restylane. Yet you may not need as many Juvederm injections to achieve your results, which may end up being better for your wallet.
Answer: Restylane Lyft & Restylane Silk
1cc of any filler is 1/5 of a teaspoon, so it's a small amount. If you use small amounts, you will see small changes.
Will Results Improve Over Time? Absolutely! This injectable gives you improved results over time, unlike many other similar treatments. The active ingredient in Restylane works with the natural regenerative properties of your body, extending the results you'll see after treatment over the course of several weeks.
The more relaxed you can keep your face, the longer your results will last. For one thing, repeated facial expressions are the number one cause of dynamic wrinkles; the more often you make an expression, the more likely the skin will remember the way it folds, which leads to the development of lines and wrinkles.
The results of Restylane treatments could last 6-12 months, depending on factors like where it is placed, your body's metabolism, and so on. You may want to plan for touch-ups every 3-6 months to ensure the best results.
If you stop getting Restylane, after a year, the wrinkles will come back but they may never be as bad as they were before you started treatment since all fillers also cause your body to make new collagen.
While Restylane is not a collagen-stimulating filler in and of itself, it does stimulate collagen production.
Lip filler is measured using syringes, with one syringe equalling one milliliter (1/5th of a teaspoon) of fluid.
There are 100 units of Botox per vial and 300 units of Dysport per vial. There is 1.0 cc of Juvederm® per syringe, and 0.8 cc of Restylane® per syringe.
In short, yes, one syringe of filler can make a difference. However, if you want an exaggerated result, or have lost a large amount of volume you may require additional syringes. Your injector can determine this during a consultation by examining your anatomy.
