Why Does It Take Botox Time To Work? Botox takes time to work because it must reach the cellular level of the muscle in order to block the neurotransmitters in the nerve, eventually causing the paralyzation of the muscle.
Your Skin Might Look the Same (At First)
The first time botox is injected, it takes time to act. In fact, it's possible that it may take 2-8 days to start seeing a difference. But two weeks after your appointment, you'll see the full effects of your Botox treatment. Of course, timings vary between individuals.
You should still be able to move your forehead and make facial expressions following Botox injections, as long as you have a full consultation with your provider prior to getting the treatment. It is important to discuss your aesthetic goals when getting a procedure such as Botox.
