Like many other dermal fillers, it will take at least one to three days for Restylane Lyft to settle into the skin. During that time, you will need to follow specific instructions so you don't disturb the filler.
You will see the final results of your treatment about four to six weeks after your treatment, which is about the time it takes for your body to kickstart collagen production to restore facial volume. Recovery from this filler is the same as with many other dermal fillers. We will instruct you to avoid rubbing or touching your face, avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat, and also to take protective measures, such as wearing sunscreen. Most patients are fully recovered within three to seven days after treatment.
Still, while you can do some light movements with your lips (like smiling or giving a peck on the cheek), you shouldn't kiss aggressively for at least 72 hours after getting lip fillers. Kissing might also be uncomfortable since the lips could be swollen or tender at first.
Do not massage your lips for 24 to 48 hours after the treatment. Once your swelling subsides down, you can gently massage your lips with light pressure.
