Let the scabs naturally flake off bit by bit. It will take up to 14 days for scabbing to be over. You may NOT get the area wet or apply any kind of products (except for ointment) for at least 10 days after.
Microblading scabbing can last anywhere from 3 days to a week, depending on how bad it is. Just know that eventually the scabbing will stop. Do note that this will result in a loss in pigment color on the brow. Your brows will look patchy and this is normal if scabbing does occur during your healing process.
If you pick your microblading scabs instead of letting them fall off on their own, they will pull out the pigment. Your microblading may be ruined!
Water. Getting the Eyebrows wet during the healing/scabbing process is not recommended. Water will loosen and lighten the pigment and will not allow the microblading to retain in the skin.
EYEBROW AFTERCARE
Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 7 days after your procedure. Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area. During the shower, keep your face away from the shower head or take a bath.
While the pigments will darken significantly, don't worry! This darker look will begin to fade in a week or so. It takes three to four weeks to see the final results. This is a common concern clients have.
So, when it comes to the question of “When can I wash my eyebrows after microblading?” the short answer is at least ten days, but it's really as long as it takes for your eyebrows to cleanse and heal themselves naturally.
The healing period after the microblading 6 week touch up is much shorter than after the initial process, since the treatment isn't as intense and there is less trauma to the skin. It usually takes 5-7 days and it is less complicated than the initial one.
Healing period requires thorough aftercare. You will also be given instructions to follow in order to get better results. Your eyebrows will start to fade and scabs will also appear. You should strictly avoid removing scabs on your own or touching your brows.
7-10 Days After = the scabs will begin to flake and fall off your brows naturally, so your skin may look a little, well, flaky. When the scab falls off, the skin underneath will look really light and pink – this is because it's baby skin!
Follow these steps to take care of your skin after microblading: Avoid getting the area wet for at least 7 days. This includes keeping your face dry during a shower. Don't wear makeup for at least a week.
Healing will take up to 1-2 weeks, and it is perfectly normal for your treated eyebrows to scab. The scabs will fall off within a few days. It is normal for the color to appear darker and reddish in the first 5-6 days, and then to fade during the two weeks following the treatment.
Wash hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap before touching the treated area. saran wrap. In the morning, remove saran wrap, wash eyebrows, apply ointment again for the remainder of the 24 hours. Doing this will prevent scabbing.
Day 5 is when things start to change. This can be the turning point in the healing process, where your brows are getting itchy and it is advised to NOT scratch them, as the wound may still be open. A thick layer of scabbing may form, and the fine hair-strokes that were created may be hidden.
Each individual's color retention within the skin will vary. To maintain the brows looking fresh, a touch up is suggested every 12-18 months. Clients can let the microbladed area fade over time, but please note a slight shadow may remain.
As mentioned above, microblading can last anywhere from 18 to 30 months. In general, it requires touch-ups once or twice a year. Once pigment from the procedure begins to noticeably fade, you'll need to go back to your practitioner for a touch-up application.
If you have a Caffeinated drink or food 48 hours after your procedure, you should avoid alcohol, soft drinks, coffee, tea, chocolate, and other beverages. After this, you should avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, fish oil, vitamin K, and fish oil.
Around 7-14 days, you may notice some flaking/shedding of the skin near the brow area. When the skin flakes off, many times the Microblading strokes have disappeared. THIS IS NORMAL. This is because there is still a thick layer of protective skin creating a veil over the pigment.
Long story short: getting your eyebrows wet after Microblading by washing them with water and soap does NOT affect the result from the ink underneath your skin, because it's already being “treated” by your body's defense system the minute the PMU (Microblading, Ombre Brows, Powder Brows, etc) procedure starts.
During the 10 day healing period, do not apply any products to the treated area (except for Vaseline temporarily). This includes make up, moisturizers, ointments and cleansers. During the first month, do not scrub or exfoliate the treated area. Let any scabs fall off naturally.
Do not use petroleum jelly (like Vaseline) as this causes the brow to sweat underneath. Do not use anti-bacterial ointments because they will remove pigment from your brows. Keep your fringe away from your eyebrows for the first 3 days as this is the easiest way to cause infection.
Losing Color After Microblading Is Normal
The healing process will lead to loss of pigment because your body tries to remove the foreign implantation. In an ideal situation, 85% of the pigment will be retained after the healing process completes at the end of the sixth week.
If not, don't panic. The permanent makeup has been applied to compensate for fading of 20-40%, so if they look darker than you normally wear your brows, stay calm, the color will fade over the next week.
Wash the microbladed area twice per day followed by applying the microblading aftercare ointment. At the start and end of each day, use your clean fingertips and a mild antibacterial soap, like Cetaphil, to gently cleanse your eyebrows for 10-15 seconds.
