In a study published in the journal Frontiers in Psychology, darker brows were found to make a person look younger, since we seem to (subconsciously) associate defined contrasts in facial features with youth.
Ignoring thinning brows
Just like your hair, brows can thin with age, making you look older than you are. To disguise this, use a brow powder to fill patchy spots, focusing on bringing the fullness back to your brows.

After you've trimmed up, use tweezers to nix any hairs that fall outside your brow map. Then, fill in with brow pencil or powder for a polished look.
A good rule of thumb is to try to stay within two shades of your hair color. If you have dark eyes, pick a brow shade that is lighter than your hair color and vice versa. Exact matches aren't important as long as the shades are complementary. In fact, sometimes matching too closely can ruin your look.
In most cases, the color of your pubic hair is closest to the natural color of your eyebrows. Throughout life, the melanin in your body decreases. This makes hair lighter and eventually grows gray, both on the head and in the pubic area.

Healy says to prepare yourself for noticing a new variety of hair lengths, since the brow hairs you never allowed to reach their full maturation are now getting there.
