Soak the area in warm water to soften the skin and hair. Apply a soothing shaving cream or gel. Gently hold the skin tight with one hand. Slowly shave in the same direction that the hair grows — pubic hair grows toward the genitals.
That's likely folliculitis, aka razor burn, and it happens when bacteria get inside those little hair follicles and inflame them, causing those prickly pink-and-white bumps you're seeing.
We're serious when we say that you should consider the best shaving product if you want to remove stubble. Always use shaving cream of high quality, particularly if you have sensitive skin. Glycerine-based shaving creams are the best choice.
Use aloe vera gel as stubble softener
The best way to keep your stubble soft is by using aloe vera gel. This ingredient can fight literally anything from acne marks to prickly beards. All your need to do is take some store brought or manually extracted aloe vera gel and gently massage it on your beard/stubble.
Exfoliate Your Skin
The closer you can get to the root, the longer your shave will last, but if you've got dead skin blocking your razor, you'll end up with prickly hairs in no time.
Removing pubic hair may therefore make a person more susceptible to common infections, such as UTIs, vaginitis, and yeast infections. Hair removal can also irritate your skin, leading to skin infections such as cellulitis and folliculitis. In other cases, grooming-related injuries, such as cuts, could become infected.
Your skin is more sensitive and prone to ingrown hairs right after shaving, so any friction during sex could cause irritation. Also, try not to wear really tight clothing (such as leggings) or anything that will rub against your skin right after shaving down there, because that also can cause irritation or bumps.
Trimming. Trimming your pubic hair is easy, quick and painless – and all you need is a pair of scissors. Just make sure you keep your scissors (or your pubic hair trimmer) clean. It's best to cut pubic hair while it's dry, so it's easier to see what you're doing.
How often you shave depends on your genetics and your preferred end result. In general, we recommend shaving every two to three days if you want a clean shave; three to five days if you want to simply style or trim; and if you want to just let your hair grow, then simply stop shaving.
Does Nair work on stubble? Nair will work on hair stubble if it's above the surface of the skin. If the stubble is very short or at the skin's surface, the cream or lotion may not reach it.
Waxing for the face can be done as a quick clean up around the beard, lip, and brow, or to completely remove unwanted facial hair. Men can wax a number of different areas on their face in order to get that perfectly groomed look. Waxing can be done for any hair type and removes hair from virtually any part of the body.
If the skin in your pubic area is especially sensitive, invest in after-shave products made with calming ingredients such as cucumber, oatmeal and aloe vera, all of which are equally effective. Dr. Bolden-Cook also recommends the more affordable Vaseline jelly as a viable after-shave balm.
You can use the shaving foil to trim and shave your body hair below the neckline, for example armpits, arms, legs and pubic area (with a trimming comb). We do not recommend using it on your face or head, because you will not get desired results, and it may also damage your skin.
Avoid getting Nair inside your vaginal canal or near your rectum to reduce chances of infection. Coat the vulva, vaginal canal, and rectum with a layer of petroleum jelly to prevent the cream from getting inside.
In a Brazilian wax, pubic hair is groomed and removed from the front of the pubic bone, around the external genitals, between the upper thighs, and around the anus. Depending on your preferences, you can choose to remove all hair in the area or leave a small strip of hair in the front.
For bikini areas, waxing is more precise and can result in less razor bumps because of the delicate skin area.
Depilatory Creams
Veet cream dissolves the hair at the root, so that the hair breaks away, keeping you stubble-free for up to four days. Veet has an extensive range of creams to suit your needs.
Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal technique that has been authorized by the FDA. Electrolysis works by inserting a tiny metal probe into the hair follicle's base and activating a shortwave radio frequency to shock, burn, and kill the hair follicle, preventing regrowth.
