Some signs of a deficiency are brittle, dry hair, brittle nails, and dry, flaky skin. Severe cases result in red and scaly skin. B7 also fights inflammation and protects against acne, fungal infections, and rashes.

Consuming foods that are high in vitamins A, C, D, and E, as well as foods that are good sources of zinc and selenium, may help prevent or improve dry skin. Omega-3, green tea antioxidants, and turmeric also have benefits for the skin.
Owing to limited exposure to the sun, deficiency of Vitamin D is quite common. Dry skin is a common skin condition, which can also be a result of Vitamin D deficiency.
Coconut Oil Can Moisturize Dry Skin
In addition to its effects on acne and inflammation, applying coconut oil to your skin can also help keep it hydrated.
Zinc can be beneficial for dry skin, especially in people with eczema or psoriasis. The mineral has anti-inflammatory properties and is known to prevent UV damage.
