But, if you see small lumps and/or raised skin around the treatment area, this may be an indication your filler has moved slightly or your skin has been overfilled. It is important to remember that some localized swelling is expected after a filler treatment and should resolve on its own.

In rare cases, facial fillers like Juvederm can migrate to another site of your face within a few days of your injections. This happens when the filler moves before it has fully bonded with your facial tissue.

Dr. Frank says the best way to deal with migration is to dissolve the filler with hyaluronidase (an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid gels). In just a few hours, hyaluronidase softens the filler and returns the lips to a more natural shape, projection, and size.
Filler Massage
The product will remain somewhat malleable for about a month after it has been injected. If you think that your filler has migrated to unwanted areas or isn?t as smooth as you? d like, massage is always an option.

Migration often occurs due to parts of the body being overfilled with this substance and this bleeding into other areas, so it's important to remain aware of the amount of filler that will be applied to your lips, as well as letting your practitioner know if you already have some filler in this part of your face.
Fillers usually get dissolved over time, regardless if it has migrated. HA fillers like juvederm/restylane/perlane they last about a year before they are absorbed by the body. If you are unhappy with the look than I would encourage you to return to your doctor or another expert injector for an evaluation.

Kubederm voluma is the most cohesive filler and therefore the least likely to migrate!
Fillers remain moldable for 1-2 weeks, and pressure can deform your filler.
Bruising may occur if an artery or blood vessel has become blocked due to filler injection. Bruising may range from a blue discoloration to a dusky purple-grey appearance. Swelling is likely to occur in and around the injection site if vascular obstruction is present, and may range from mild to severe.
Swelling – After undergoing fillers, it is normal for the lips area to look uneven due to swelling. This is normal and does not necessarily mean that something has gone wrong. It is also important to note that the lips have a lot of nerve endings and are more sensitive than other areas of the body.
The swelling that can often occur after Lip Fillers can cause the lips to look a little uneven for a short time. This doesn't necessarily mean that anything has gone wrong and it may just take a little time for the product to fully settle and for residual swelling to subside.
When you have had too much filler, then you may appear to have a bulging forehead, an overly pointy and sharp chin, and overly protruding cheekbones. Furthermore, the filler can stretch and weigh down your skin over time, which is known as filler fatigue.
It is not uncommon to experience a small degree of asymmetry immediately post-treatment due to the potential for swelling and bruising. Juvederm can take up to 4 weeks to integrate, so it is best to wait and review in 2-4 weeks with your Injector at which point you will have a better idea of the final result.
Filler works by inflating a pocket or space under the skin. Once the filler is gone (whether absorbed back into the body or chemically dissolved), that space will become empty leaving the tissues in a more stretched out position (think of sucking out the beans from a bean bag leaving it with an excess, sagging bag.
The most common cause of lumps after a filler treatment is swelling and bruising from the injections themselves. These should naturally subside within the first week.
Lumpiness is very common to feel in your skin in the days after injection of dermal filler into the face, including the upper lip body and the cheeks and the chin area and along wrinkles and folds when injected to lift these. It will usually resolve within a couple of weeks.
If you are able to see the lumps, try massaging them out (if recommended by your doctor) and keep an eye on them. If they still do not disappear, it may warrant a call to your medical provider. In some cases an enzyme called Hyaluronidase may be injected to dissolve the filler.

Signs of skin necrosis include changes in skin color (a blue, dusky, or dark hue in that area), pain, and “breakdown” of the skin.
