To get rid of a deep, painful acne cyst or nodule, your dermatologist may inject blind pimples with a corticosteroid. This speeds healing and reduces the risk of scarring. Chemical peels. Chemical peels are skin-resurfacing procedures that work by removing the top layers of the skin.
Clinical treatments
If blind pimples don't resolve easily at home, are especially painful, or seem infected, seek out a dermatologist. In some instances, prescribed medications including antibiotics can help get rid of blind pimples.
Use topical creams and gels: Antibiotic creams, retinoids, salicylic acid and other lotions, cleansers and serums can reduce bacteria or dry out pimples. There are many types of topical acne creams, including benzoyl peroxide. Ask your healthcare provider which ones are right for you.
The American Academy of Dermatology recommend over-the-counter creams that contain benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and sulfur. Warm compress. A warm compress can soften the spot, allowing pus to come to the surface. It can help also help a blind pimple come to a head.
A blind pimple, also known as cystic acne, is a pimple that lives beneath the surface of your skin and doesn't come to a head. It is often in the form of a red, painful bump beneath the skin. Blind pimples are caused by oil getting trapped beneath the skin.
They can be on top or underneath the skin's surface. Hard pimples are caused when dead skin cells, oil, and bacteria get under the skin's surface. Certain types of hard pimples should be treated by a doctor to prevent them from getting worse and leaving scars.
“I never recommend attempting to pop, pick, or poke a blind pimple—this inevitably leads to more harm than good because the pimple does not have a connection to the surface of the skin, attempting to pick it will just increase your risk of an infection or scarring,” advises Dr. Zeichner.
Blind pimples usually tend to go away on their own after a few weeks. It can even take upto months for them to fade away. Under treatment, a blind pimple may take a few days and upto weeks to heal (5).
Blind pimples are the most common types of pimples — and the most painful. The two types of blind pimples are: Cysts: These blind pimples contain pus and may feel more spongy to the touch. Nodules: These blind pimples do not contain pus and feel more firm to the touch.

Wait until your pimple has a firm white head. That means the pus is close to the surface and ready to be drained.

While active ingredients like salicylic acid and lactic acid might not be able to work as well on a blind pimple as they do on a regular whitehead or blackhead, they can help to make the process faster.
Apply a warm compress

While ice can help reduce symptoms of an inflamed pimple, heat works well on noninflamed, blind pimples. A blind pimple is a type of closed comedo that develops in the deep layers of the skin.
Use an Ice Pack
Ice packs are a well-known way to reduce inflammation in general. For blind pimples, they can be used in the same way, helping to minimize inflammation, swelling, and redness. If your blind pimple becomes super painful, an ice pack could help soothe it and make it less noticeable.
If bacteria living on the skin also become stuck in the follicle, this can cause inflammation and infection. White blood cells flow in to fight infection, and, as a result, dead white blood cells, bacteria, and other debris form pockets of pus. Pus filled pimples do not reflect an individual's cleanliness.
Persistent Pimple Rx
One reason a pimple keeps popping up in the same place is that the pore it developed in is damaged -- usually the result of too much picking. Prodding at a pimple can loosen the cell lining of the pore and cause the clogged oil to slip deeper into the skin, creating an inflammatory reaction.
A sebum plug can look like a tiny bump under the surface of the skin or it may stick out through the skin like a grain of sand. When a sebum plug forms, bacteria that normally lives harmlessly on the surface of your skin can start to grow within the follicle. Inflammation follows, causing a breakout.
A whitehead is the visible sebum or pus that has built up within a pimple. Sebaceous cysts are much deeper beneath the skin, and they can sometimes discolor the skin. While sebaceous cysts can eventually develop something that looks like a whitehead, it takes much longer, and they're often a lot larger than acne.
