Voluma is part of the Juvederm family of filler products and is specially designed to lift and contour the cheeks.
What a Juvéderm Voluma Treatment Can Accomplish. Juvéderm Voluma addresses volume and elastin loss in the mid-face region. It uses an injectable gel that acts as a filler to restore volume to areas most affected by age, such as sagging cheeks, a sagging jawline and jowls.
Voluma is specifically designed to restore a full, plump look to your cheeks. It is injected deep into the skin and thus can prevent sagging and contour your cheek lines. Because it works so deep in the skin, it can last longer than many other fillers; even other forms of Juvederm.
Your results will last up to six months and can be extended with a follow-up treatment three months after your initial injection to help extend those results a year or longer. When you begin treatment, we will design the right treatment plan for your needs so that you can experience a youthful appearance once again.

Once the fillers settle in, and your tissue heals from injections, your results can truly be seen as they are! Voluma and Volbella are hyaluronic acid fillers, which do not stimulate collagen on their own.
Like the rest of the Juvederm family of dermal fillers, Voluma is made from a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid suspended in a smooth and pliable gel. Because it's made of a naturally produced ingredient, the results are also very natural looking and can even improve the condition of your skin.
Juvederm Voluma® can last for up to two years. It's also important to know that there is some evidence supporting the idea that hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm Voluma® can help stimulate collagen production in the body. This boost in collagen can generate a longer period of improvement in the skin.
Typical results of using Juvederm Voluma are plumper cheeks and a smoother, tighter skin surface. Together these changes give a lift to any loose skin and result in a more youthful and natural look.

Voluma is softer and completely dissolvable. Both are long lasting, with around two years of duration of action.

Answer: Massaging after Voluma
If you have quite thin skin it is possible that Voluma will be visible to start with as it tends to hold its shape - in this case moulding it yourself over the first 24-48 hours can help. If you are happy with the result you have I don't imagine that massage will be necessary.
