The Navy tattoo policy, updated in 2016, is the most lenient in all the branches. Navy tattoos can be anywhere on the body except the head, face, or scalp. The Navy is the only branch that allows tattoos on the hands.

There is a lot of military training that apply only to freshman that make almost everything you do harder than it has to be. However, once freshman year is over many of the rules are lifted. It is still much more strict than most colleges as USAFA is training future military officers, but it is a solid life.
During the academic year, which begins in early August and ends in mid-May, cadets wake up at 5:15 a.m., get dressed in their uniform of the day and attend a buffet style breakfast in Mitchell Hall.
During their tenure at the academy, cadets receive tuition, room and board, and a monthly stipend all paid for by the Air Force.
