WELLA T18 TO FIX YELLOW TONES

One option is to re-bleach the roots to lift them to a lighter level before toning again. You need to get them to that very pale yellow - think the inside of a banana. This will help to ensure that your favourite toner can effectively neutralize any remaining yellow tones and match the rest of your hair perfectly.
By looking at colour theory and choosing the opposite colour of your hair in the colour wheel, such as purple or blue shades, you can neutralise the yellow and orange. This method gives the impression of cooler tones without affecting the pigments in a permanent way.
You can also use toners to correct the color and balance out the warm tones. By looking at color theory and choosing the opposite color of your hair in the color wheel, such as purple or blue shades, you can neutralize the yellow and orange.

T14 is a pale ash blonde with violet-blue tones, making it better for hair that still has some orange left in it. T18, on the other hand, is Lightest Ash Blonde with only a violet base. Violet cancels out yellow while blue cancels out orange.

On the other hand, hair dyes require 45 minutes of exposure time. Moreover, toners neutralize brassy tones as soon as applied. This reaction stops after 20 minutes. Thus, 15–20 minutes is a sufficient time of leaving toners in your hair.
You want the hair cuticle to be open for toning. Towel-dry hair to about 65 - 75% dry then start toning. Usually color & bleach is on dry hair, even toners and colors that do not require developer; however toner that uses developer is recommended on towel dried hair.
In the salon, your stylist can apply a low-ammonia toner formula to your hair after it is lightened. For example, if the goal is a pearly blonde shade, your stylist will use a lightener first, then apply a violet toner to cancel out the yellow tones that are exposed when your hair color is lifted.
During the lifting process, a mixture of ammonia and bleach, along with peroxide, is applied to the hair and allowed to process until the existing color is either diluted or removed. Then tones are added back into the now bleached hair in order to give it the desired color.
First things first, try a toner. While your highlights may seem too bright, it could be that you're actually seeing undesired tones in them, and a toner can help level things out. Our Light WorksⓇ Toning Glaze enhances highlights, reduces brassiness, and conditions and locks in shine.
Wella T14 works best on pale yellow hair. If your hair has strong orange tones and you'd like to try this toner, make sure to add some Wella Colour Charm 050 Cooling Violet to your mixture - about 4 capfuls for hair that touches the top of your shoulders.
Apply the toner first to areas that require the most color correction or simply apply to the central part of the strands before working up to the roots and down to the tips.
If you leave it on for more than 30 minutes, you may end up with a color that is too dark or too light. Leaving it on too long will also deposit too much color in your hair – which could end up looking green!
For example, blue neutralizes orange, green balances red, and purple tones down yellow hues. That means, in order to target yellow, you need a touch of violet in your formula.
If you have light brown or golden blonde hair, there's no need to reach for the bleach: you can achieve an ice blonde hair colour without it. Simply choose a dye like Garnier Nutrisse Natural Light Ash Blonde, Shade 9.13 and you're ready to go!
For warmer undertones (think hints of yellow or orange), your ideal hair color should give your skin a healthy, natural-looking flush. Go for hair colors that are cool, ashy, or have reddish tones, like honey or strawberry blonde hair, golden copper, cool beige brunette, and rich golden brown.
