Treatment with Profhilo improves skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance. It can help to increase firmness and elasticity and promote healthier and softer-looking skin. Profhilo is most commonly used for facial areas, but can also be used to rejuvenating the neck, decollete, arms, knees and hands.
PROFHILO® is indicated for the treatment of the face and body, in particular for the treatment of the malar-zygomatic and submalar areas. An initial cycle of two sessions at 30-day intervals is recommended, followed if necessary by maintenance procedures every 2 months.
Once injected, it naturally spreads out and is absorbed over about a 4cm area of the skin. This means, that you can usually have the treatment applied to your whole face with around about 10 injection sites.
Profhilo treatment is considered effective for treating acne-prone skin and acne scars across the body because it boosts collagen and helps the skin rise and firm. It means scars become less visible and the skin as a whole becomes smoother and more hydrated in appearance.
For people who get wrinkles, crepiness, or loose skin, this treatment has proven to be exemplary. It removes wrinkles from your skin and makes it appear clear, spotless, and flawless. By tightening your skin, it lifts it and makes you look younger and fresher.
It is delivered into the skin via a series of small injections, and acts by stimulating the cell receptors to restore firmness and improve the surface of the skin. Profhilo can be used on the face, shoulders, back or chest and can be very effective in reducing certain types of scarring caused by acne.
The attraction to Profhilo is that it does not change the face shape like dermal fillers, it creates a fresh natural look and softening of fine lines and wrinkles.
How many Profhilo treatments will I need? Initially, you will need 2 sessions four weeks apart to get the maximum benefit. If the skin laxity is quite severe, you may need a third treatment a month later. To maintain the results, get a single treatment every 3 months or the full course every 6 months.
How long does Profhilo last? Profhilo generally lasts 6 months if 2 treatments are given one month apart. After the initial treatments, we recommend coming back to see us every 6-9 months. Then only one syringe is needed, as we will be simply topping up the skin's hydration and glow.
Not only does PROFHILO firm and plump the skin in a way that neither Botox or Dermal Fillers can, it effectively remodels the dermal tissues to deliver superior skin rejuvenative effects resulting in smoother, brighter, hydrated skin.
After your treatment, the common effects are mild redness, slight swelling and possible bruising. The treatment area may feel tender to touch and all of these effects are normal, will subside in a few days, but may last up to a week.
Nucleofill is fantastic for the more mature age group as it regenerates sagging and dehydrated skin and thickens the tissues. It also lasts longer than Profhilo – up to a year after two treatments.
While you may see an improvement immediately after the first treatment, the best results are visible around 4 weeks after the second treatment. After 8 weeks, your skin will also appear more hydrated, healthy and youthful.
Is it really worth it, though? Many customers ask “Is Profhilo worth it?” The simple answer is, yes it is. It is fast-acting, effective, minimally-invasive, and do not carry the same risks as other procedures. It provides you with healthy, plumper, and fresher skin and a radiant glow that will shave years off you.
Profhilo® is suitable for both men and women with mild to moderate signs of aging skin. It is highly recommended for patients aged 30-50 years who are looking for an effective method to hydrate their skin and improve skin laxity, elasticity, and fine lines.
When Profhilo is administered by someone who is appropriately qualified, trained and experienced the risks of something going wrong are very, very low. However, in inexperienced hands, Profhilo injections can be dangerous.
Profhilo makes the skin glow and fine lines and wrinkles are reduced, or can disappear. You'll notice smoother, tighter skin, and after just a single course of Profhilo, which involves 2 injectable treatments 4 weeks apart, you can expect to see intense hydration of the skin.
As with any injection there is a small risk of bruising which resolves over 7-10 days. Very rarely the bumps can persist for longer than a few hours and even more rarely patients may develop puffy eyes for a few weeks.
The Profhilo and fillers benefits are different
Whilst dermal fillers are used for altering the shape of facial features (goodbye, bumpy nose and hello, plump lips), replacing lost volume due to ageing and contouring, Profhilo doesn't have any role in volumising or restructuring the face.
Following the procedure, patients can return to their normal day-to-day activities. For the first 24 hours following the procedure, patients are advised to refrain from applying make-up. They should also not participate in any strenuous exercise, including swimming.
As we age collagen production slows and our skin can become dull and lose elasticity, leading to an increase in fine lines and wrinkles. Injecting Profhilo into the skin literally floods pores and fine lines, but does not affect muscle tissue or accumulate in specific areas creating unnatural swelling or lumps.
Can you have a Profhilo treatment at the same time as Botox & fillers? You can have a Botox treatment at the same time, but it's not advised to have the treatment with other fillers in the same area of injections.
Profhilo neck results
Profhilo can be used all over the face, neck, jowls, hands & decolletage to give the skin a natural-looking, long-lasting lift. We often use it on the arms and knees as well to restore firmness in these problem-prone areas.
Is Profhilo safe? Yes Profhilo is absolutely safe. You can have the added confidence in Profhilo, knowing it is FDA approved too.
