Seal with Clear Nail Polish
Clear nail polish can act as a durable sealant for your temporary tattoo. Apply a thin layer over the tattoo, and let it dry completely.
Apply a clear acrylic sealer or tattoo sealant over the tattoo using a sponge or brush. Let it dry completely. This won't make it truly permanent but can extend its lifespan. If you have skin-safe ink (like certain markers or pens), you can carefully trace over the temporary tattoo.
Applying a coat of petroleum jelly can help create a seal over the tattoo and repel water. Water can cause the skin to dry out, which will increase the shedding of dead and dry skin.
Once your pick your medium, let the fake-ink flow. The final touch feels a bit obvious, but adding a setting spray or hairspray over the tattoo will create an anti-smudge seal.

Coat the drawing in baby powder.
Pour a generous amount of baby powder into your hand, and thoroughly coat the sharpie drawing with the powder. Rub it into the drawing; it shouldn't bleed or smear. Wipe off any excess powder that doesn't stick to your skin.
To get rid of any extra ink after application, gently press a towel onto the tattoo. Try hairspray: Hairspray can extend the lifespan of a temporary tattoo to a month. If you apply it, wait until the tattoo is dry, then spray the hairspray from a distance of 12 to 16 inches.
Use Translucent Powder
Applying translucent powder can significantly prolong the lifespan of temporary tattoos by creating a protective barrier over the design.
For the best application, be sure your skin is dry and free of oil, lotion, sunscreen, bug spray, and makeup. Choose a smooth, hair-free area that doesn't crease or stretch when you move. Set it with powder, you can't really add too much so almost use a baking method on it, then dust off the powder. To make it last longer you can use a setting spray or final seal but depending on where it is on your body you can just lightly spray it with hair spray.
Apply Baby Powder
Just fill your palm with enough baby powder to cover the tattoo, then coat the image completely. It shouldn't bleed or smear when you rub it into the design. Wipe away any powder that hasn't adhered to your skin.
A temporary tattoo lives on the skin for a short period. It generally does not last more than a few days and can be removed easily. Also, it does not leave any permanent mark on the skin.
Seal over the permanent marker
You can always put a coat of clear nail polish or what crafting people buy—modge podge. These work best as sealants. There are harsh chemical sprays that professional artists use, but you'll have to talk to someone at your local art or hardware store to find out which may work best!
