It's possible to have a facelift and a rhinoplasty together, but it depends on the length and complexity of each procedure.
It is very much acceptable to have more than one plastic surgery procedure done at once. However, safety has to be ensured and in most cases, only about two to three plastic surgical procedures can be combined at a time in order to allow the body to rest and the immune system recover before the next procedure.
While safety is always the top priority, many cosmetic surgeons are comfortable combining at least two surgeries as long as you're in good health. The most common plastic surgery procedures that are combined include liposuction and tummy tuck, rhinoplasty and chin augmentation, and breast augmentation with breast lift.
Many of these patients have blackheads or clogged pores after rhinoplasty and want extractions performed on their nose. My recommendation to patients is that they can have a facial at 3 weeks without touching the nose and 8 weeks for the skin of the nose.
Weight lifting should be avoided for 3-4 weeks post-operatively. The resumption of and amount of physical/athletic activity should be guided by the level of patient discomfort with “pain” being the ultimate guide. Avoid direct sun exposure/tanning of any bruising after the surgery.
6 Weeks or More After Cosmetic Nose Surgery
For most people, it takes a full 6 weeks for the structural tissues of the nose to adhere together. While this means you are safe to return to high intensity exercise, you should continue to avoid contact sports unless advised differently by your doctor.
In a rhinoplasty where the bones need to be broken, they will usually be healed in 3 weeks and will not move afterwards. If the cartilage of the septum is crooked, it can sometimes deviate again even after healing is complete.
Your skin should always be clean and moist. After rhinoplasty, the goal should be to moisturize your skin by preventing dryness. You should make sure that there are no active elements in the moisturizers you choose. These creams can create sensitivity on your skin.
Nose bleeding may cause swelling and bruising around the eyes. Steam inhalations in the 1st week post op can also cause bleeding and should be avoided for the 1st week post op.
Can I get a BBL and Rhinoplasty at the same time? Doing a Brazilian butt lift and the rhinoplasty at the same time is probably not a good idea. The first problem is it's too much surgery to be done at once. A rhinoplasty is a fine motor skill and liposuction is a gross motor skill.
How much does a facelift cost? The average cost of a facelift is $8,005, according to 2020 statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. This average cost is only part of the total price – it does not include anesthesia, operating room facilities or other related expenses.
Combination plastic surgery allows you to correct an entire area of your body at once instead of just one part at a time. A patient can get a facelift and an eyelift, or a breast reduction and a tummy tuck. The surgeon does multiple procedures in the same surgery so that you can be happy with how your whole body looks.
You can safely do both nasal and breast surgeries at the same time. However, while it may seem more efficient to have a rhinoplasty at the same time as your breast reduction there are some potential concerns.
When the bandage is first removed, your nose will appear fat and turned up too much. This is due to operative swelling over the nose and in the upper lip.
Rhinoplasty results are gradual
For all of our patients, 90% of swelling is resolved within 3 months of surgery. The last 10% of swelling is usually confined to the nasal tip, which may take slightly longer to heal due to its thick, sebaceous skin.
To put it simply: yes, the tip of your nose will certainly be smaller after rhinoplasty san antonio surgery, particularly if your goal is to reduce the size of that portion of your nose.
No nose picking and/or nose blowing for 14 days after surgery. Use nasal saline sprays (2-3 sprays in each nostril) at least three times daily to moisturize your nose for the first 2 weeks after surgery.
The vast majority of patients do not experience any issues with noticeably thicker nose skin after surgery; in fact, skin will often appear to shrink around the new structure of your nose.
The nasal dorsum, a complex structure consisting of bone, cartilage, and overlying skin, has an upper and middle nasal vault. The upper nasal vault (bony vault) consists of two nasal bones, which are attached to the frontal bone superiorly and to the maxillary bones laterally.
While there is no definite right age to have rhinoplasty, between 18 and 40 is considered an ideal range. By this time you have developed physically and in maturity to be a good candidate for rhinoplasty, and your skin still maintains youthful elasticity.
Rhinoplasty, also called nose surgery or a “nose job,” provides permanent results. Having said that, rhinoplasty cannot stop the aging process or the effects of time. As you age, the effect of gravity causes the nose to gradually grow downward and droop.
Your surgeon may have removed an excessive amount of tissue from your nose tip in an attempt to raise your entire nose. The resulting image is a “pig snout.” You may experience this temporarily as a result of post-surgery swelling. It usually disappears after a few weeks.
