Emmy recommends sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil or castor oil for best results. If you still want to wear mascara after your lash lift, just make sure you're using a water-based formula and steer clear of waterproof mascara!
Two days after the service, start using the recommended lash product, like castor oil or coconut oil. Coat the entire lash with the oil and comb out, then leave on overnight. Make sure to remove all traces of mascara and makeup.

Using oil-based conditioners after the lash lift or eyelash extensions is not recommended. Applying oil-based mascara or castor oil will shorten the lash lift results by straightening them.
Use an oil-free mascara and an oil free makeup remover. After about two to three days following your lash lift treatment, you can wear mascara. However, since your eyes will still be sensitive we recommend using an oil-free mascara.
You can use a mild nourishing essence to protect and moisturize your eyelashes after the lash lift procedure. However, it will be wiser to consult with the beauty technician before trying any conditioner on your newly curled lashes.
Do not get the lashes wet or use product on them for 24 hours after treatment. Remove eye makeup gently with non-oily remover. Gently brush your lashes daily with a lash brush. Use a mineral mascara with natural fibres for the best finish.
What happens if my eyelashes get wet? Water or moisture should not come in with your lashes for at least 24 hours after a lash lift because water will alter the disulphide bonds in the hair's cortex once they have set via chemical change.
Do not use any oils, lotions, creams, shampoos, face washes, makeup remover wipes or pads on your lashes for a minimum of 24 hours. Sometimes, Two Sessions Are Better Than One
However, these are still chemicals. Thus, it's important to take time to process your lashes in a way that does not damage them. One way to do this is to take multiple sessions to avoid over-processing your natural lashes and damaging them.
However, when a lash lift goes wrong, there's nothing you can do except waiting. No amount of applying the nourishing solution will fix the mess. Simply let your lashes rest for a few weeks and then you can give them a second try.
The lashes need some time to settle into place and really take on the permanent lift look, which water can affect this process. After 24-48 hours the clients can swim, wash their whole face, go shark diving, whatever they prefer and their lashes will continue flying high!
Post-Treatment Aftercare

Lash lift aftercare is easy
In terms of sleeping, you need to try your best to sleep on your back so your lashes don't get stuck in one position against your pillow. After 48 hours, your lashes should be set completely, meaning there's nowhere near as many restrictions on what you can and can't do.
Getting the lashes wet while washing your face or doing any other activity that gets water or steam in contact with your freshly curled lashes can disrupt the setting of the chemical bonds, and it's bye bye curl!
It's best to wait at least 24 hours before wearing any mascara or any eye makeup at all. Most mascara contains oil that can break down your lash lift. After that, you want to do your best to make the lift last as long as possible.
For the best results, you can't get your eyelashes wet for 12 hours after the perm. You also shouldn't sleep with an eye mask on during that period as you risk flattening them out again.
