God views a woman cutting her hair short as a sign of open rebellion toward her Creator (verse 6). Cutting one's hair is not the same as shearing or shaving it.
No it is not. The apostle Paul wrote a lot in Corinthians about women's hair and the meaning of it, but shaving a head is a choice, not a sin.
Empowerment: For many women, short hair can be a powerful statement of independence and self-acceptance. It may signify a rejection of societal norms regarding femininity and beauty, empowering the individual to define herself on her own terms.
Therefore, if we can prove a certain hair length to be God's plan for men, we can prove the length of hair on Jesus Christ. This length, according to scripture, was short but not shaven.

In this section of Scripture, Paul uses four words in reference to hair: Covering (or covered)—long hair. Uncovered—short hair. Shorn—extremely short hair (in modern terms, a buzz cut).

It can be an act of rebellion and self-empowerment. A haircut is often about transforming oneself and letting go of the past. Letting go of what has felt safe, rejecting fear and embracing change and the unknown.
ESV For if a wife will not cover her head, then she should cut her hair short. But since it is disgraceful for a wife to cut off her hair or shave her head, let her cover her head.
While the Bible does instruct the Hebrew people to avoid marking their bodies, it was written at a time in which pagan cults used tattooing as a way to appease their gods. In Leviticus, God was speaking to a culture that was very different from our modern one.
Given all this, some people are confused about whether makeup and jewelry are permissible for people of faith. But the Bible never says it is wrong or sinful to wear makeup or jewelry. While the wicked queen Jezebel wore jewelry, so did good women of faith such as Rebekah and Esther.
Historical appearance
Scholars have also suggested that it is likely Jesus had short hair and a beard, in accordance with Jewish practices of the time and the appearance of philosophers. The earliest depictions of Jesus from the Roman catacombs depict him as free of facial hair.
Who was Samson? Samson was a legendary Israelite warrior and judge, a member of the tribe of Dan, and a Nazirite. His immense physical strength, which he used for 20 years against the Philistines, derived from his uncut hair.
What the scholars have stated is prohibited with regard to a woman cutting her hair , is the following: If she is going to flaunt it in front of non-mahram men. If by cutting her hair, her intention is to imitate disbelieving women or immoral women. If she cuts her hair in a manner resembling men's hairstyles.
It is as shameful for a woman to have her hair cut short (“shorn”) as to have her head shaved completely bald (“shaven”). “Every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
Luke 12:7. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
It is this type of false worship the Bible forbids. Shaving one's beard and cutting one's hair for normal good grooming is something entirely different and not at all condemned in the Scriptures. In fact, the apostle Paul takes great pains to address proper grooming of one's hair in I Corinthians 11:2-15.
Kesh (Sikhism) In Sikhism, kesh or kes (Gurmukhi: ਕੇਸ) is the practice of allowing one's hair to grow naturally without cutting. The practice is one of The Five Kakaars, the outward symbols ordered by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699 as a means to profess the Sikh faith.
In the Old Testament, there are many references to "locks." Rastas relate locks to the Nazarite vow described in the earlier parts of the Old Testament. From this verse, one can see how Rastas have determined that dreadlocks are part of the holy Nazarite vow, as Samson has seven locks.
Like many questions of should Christians do something that falls outside a sin issue, ultimately it will come down to the personal conviction of the believer. In many countries, it is still considered modest, or sometimes even practical, for a woman to cover her head. In others, men cover their heads.
